Cohort selection was made defensible, with a written reason behind every decision.

The problem

Selection was contested because the basis for it was not written down.

We set the criteria and weightings before the call opened, then scored and recorded every application.

Applicants could see why they were included or excluded, and the funder could defend the cohort.

The scoring register is retained in full, with a recorded reason for each decision.

Attribution: Assessment design and the selection record are attributable to Sukuma. Later cohort outcomes are not.
